The "Money Shots"

So on this warm day in Indiana when all the snow is melting (although we will prolly have a blizzard soon) i went back to the workshop for some final touches and some money shots.

She sure is good lookin. Now i would go ride but the four inches of snow has been replaced with four inches of mud. And i don't have enough balls to get it all muddy yet.

So i am stuck with a sweet bike that just sits for about the next month or two until it is time to ride once again. In the mean time i will hopefully have done enough winter training to truly ride it for all it is worth. Hopefully. Gotta do those squats.

Here's a video of some guy jumping over the Tour de France riders. Hopefully my new Skewers come in so i have something to blog about soon...

94% done. And it's lookin' good

Spent all day back in the workshop putting the beast together. And man is it lookin' good.

Never knew how much of a pain it was to get tubeless tires onto rims. I think me and my dad both got a hernia from trying to stretch that stupid piece of rubber for what seemed like 30 minutes. Per tire.

Everything else seemed to go pretty nicely, The carbon bars are sweet and i think the Hayes Brakes with the Avid Cleansweep X Rotors are just pieces of art.

Going North

I am not a big fan of the cold. Not at all. I would rather be sweating it out under sunny skies in shorts and a t-shirt. But within hours my family and i will be heading to Michigan. To a cabin with all the aunts uncles and cousins. All the cousins. All the screaming little cousins. But despite the fact i will get about three hours of sleep a night it will be fun. We are snowshoeing and tearing it up on snowmobiles. So at least i will get some exercise.

Oh, and that bike that is sitting unassembled in our living room. Its gotta stay. Sad sad news. But the Easton handlebars are in and the Avid brake rotors are supposed to be here by Monday. What brake rotors you ask?

Yep, two piece

Yep, they're sweet and one more little goody (lots of pics cuz this is going to be short).

Yep, magnetic water bottle holder

Whelp, it is time to go finish packing. There isnt going to be an update for the next five days or so. Be strong.

And one last video of a guy with too much time on his hand and mad skills...

P.S.  I still have the sniffles.

It's Here!!!

Yes folks, here it is. Well except for the handlebars and rotors (that is another story).

Oh she is fine (and glows in the dark!)

Pick it up today. Just hours ago. She looks soooo good. But now i don't feel like a good enough rider. Sure i would have a great time on her but that just doesn't seem i'm treating her right. She needs more. And on that note, i talked with a great man tonight about some good workouts to do, now that it is the off season. Like moving up to 50 reps from 10, and actually doing more leg stuff... sad i know.

Whelp time for me to try and recover from this sickness i have. And hopefully when i post next i will have the Easton EC90 XC and the Avid Cleansweep X Rotors.

Deuces.
