A slight problem, but also a slight fix

Well there has been a slight hiccup in the bike build. Unfortunately Industry Nine doesn't have any wheels in stock. Very very very sad story. So now i'm back to the American Classic wheels. BUT not just any ordinary American Classic wheelset! American Classic hubs laced to Stan's Crest rims. Not quite as colorful as the Industry Nines but a bit lighter.

Cool hubs though.

See, Notubes.com has this handy tool that helps you calculate the weight of your hypothetical wheelset. And that beautiful copulating of the American Classics and Stan's Crests leads to a weight of 1620grams with skewers! Then add about 55grams for the spacers and rear cog will be a final weight of around 1675grams! Awesomeness.

And another small change is that there is not going to be a bash ring. The bike shop dude said i shouldn't need one because of the terrain i ride. Which is true but still kind of frightens me because i know i have hit the bash ring on my current bike AND i have no idea how to fix a broken chain (even though i have the tool). Guess it is time to learn how.

What now?

OK, one more change. Well a possible change. The seat is maybe a no go. It is just a generic Sette seat. Nice and light. But uncomfortable. Which wasn't a big concern of mine since i have a gooch of steel.

So until next time, that's all i got. And hopefully next time is tomorrow when i can find out more about the price of my bike. Which is exactly the only part i am not excited for...

And another sweet video.
